In your integration settings, you can choose to have your convenience fees created as either a line item or an additional bill.

If you choose to create a new bill, Bluechain will create a bill for the convenience fee using the GL code specified. Bluechain will also create a payment record against the specified reconciliation account for the fee with the same reference number as the original transaction.

If you choose to add a line item, Bluechain will add a line item to the original bill with the specified GL code and create a payment for the full invoice amount plus the fee. Please note, this option makes it easier to reconcile the transactions, but may not meet your required accounting practices.
