Please note that Bluechain accepts any UK issued card, such as Visa and Mastercard, where there is no spending cap. American Express, however, limits the amount their business customers can spend through Bluechain. Please note these limits are not linked to your actual Amex spending power, you may still have limit available but be restricted from further spending with Bluechain.

There is an initial spend limit of £10k set by American Express and this limit refreshes every rolling thirty days starting from the date that you made your first transaction with Bluechain. This means that each payment you make counts towards the limit for that rolling 30 day period. Please note this is not calculated on a calendar month basis or related to your statement cycle. In some instances businesses will be able to spend more than £10K, please reach out to your account manager with American Express who will be able to indicate if this is possible.

These limits are put in place and controlled by American Express, so if you have any questions regarding your limit, please contact your dedicated American Express account manager. Please note the general customer service teams at Amex do not have visibility of the individual limits, please ask to be put through to an account manager.
