Add and delete payment methods

Add and delete eCards

Updated over a week ago

When you add a payment method, such as a credit card or bank account, it is represented by an eCard, which is displayed on the carousel on the home screen of your Bluechain app. Bluechain accepts American Express, Visa, Mastercard, and domestic bank accounts.

To add a payment method (eCard):

  1. On the Home screen, tap Add Payment Method. If you have previously created one or more eCards, swipe the carousel to the left until the add option is displayed.

  2. Select the Payment Type.

  3. Enter the details of the card or bank account:
For a Debit/Credit Card, tap the camera button to scan the card details or type in the Card Number, Expiry, and CCV/CCID. For Amex, the CCV is the 4 digits on the front of the card. For Visa and Mastercard, it is the 3 digits on the back of the card.
For a Bank Account, enter your BSB and Account number

  4. (Optional) If you registered as a business, select the Account Owner of the card you are adding.

  5. If required, edit the Name on Card.

  6. Tap Add.

The eCard is ready to use. You can now make payments up to a total of $1,000, after which you will need to activate your payment method. You can also personalise your eCard and set the authorisation limit.

Tip. To keep your payments organised, you can add the same card multiple times, each with a different name. The Name on Card does not have to match the name on the physical card and is recorded with the bill reference number in your transaction history. For example, John has a Visa card, which he uses for both personal and business payments. He adds the card under his personal profile and types "John Doe" as the Name on Card. He adds the card again and this time types "JD Electrical" as the Name on Card.

To delete an eCard:

  1. Tap the More "hamburger" menu at the bottom-right of the home screen, and tap the eCard you want to modify. You can also select the eCard by tapping it in the eCard carousel.

  2. Tap the settings icon at the top-right of the card.

  3. Tap Delete Payment Method.
