You can pay almost any UK based supplier that's registered with Companies House that accepts Fasterpay or BACS payments. We don't currently support international payments, but if the company you want to pay has a UK entity with a UK bank account then we can support this. We are working towards expanding payments outside of the UK later in 2025.

You will need to have sufficient details about your biller so that they can be onboarded through the Bluechain portal. This includes their full registered company name/company number, payment details, and a copy of an invoice.

You can pay UK based sole traders via Bluechain, however, there are a couple of steps to complete to get them added to the platform if they are not already listed. Please fill in this form to request the addition of a new sole trader. Once we have received the form, our partners Creditsafe will complete compliance and verification checks before they are added to the platform. We will notify you via email once the sole trader has been added to the platform, once completed you will be able to select them as a supplier when creating a bill to pay. *We recommend you contact the sole trader making them aware they will be contacted by Creditsafe to verify their sole trader status.

Prohibited payments

We are unable to process payments for certain prohibited activities, depending on the type of payment method used. You will be advised if you attempt to make a prohibited payment. If this occurs, try a different payment method.
